The Treasury Has Published Its Annual Public Report for 2016
The Treasury has prepared a Public Report for 2016, where the information about strategic objectives, tasks of central government budget implementation, central government debt management, cash and state loans management, as well as implementation of the Functions of the Paying and Certifying Authority of the EU funds and foreign financial assistance has been included.
“The strategic planning of activities in line with the state’s priorities and consequently implemented measures are important factors when assessing the work performed, as well as when planning the strategic objectives and tasks in fields overseen by the Treasury for the next period. The implementation of strategically planned borrowing measures, as well as the operative use of the financial market’s unique opportunities, allowed the Treasury to reach nationally significant results in central government debt management. In order to ensure the availability of quality services at a technologically high level, in 2016 investments continued the information systems supporting the services of the Treasury. The certification of expenses of the new 2014–2020 Programming Period of European Union funds and the conclusion of the 2007–2013 Programming Period of European Union funds has been ensured,” said Treasurer Kaspars Āboliņš.
